THURSDAY, SEPT 24 | 6:00 - 8:30 pm

Join CHUM News on Thursday, September 24 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm for a fun, photo-centered evening at Columbia City Gallery (4864 Rainier Ave S).

Come catch up with the CHUM team, meet friendly locals interested in photography and tangible media, and check out the stellar exhibit currently on display at Columbia City Gallery. We’re teaming up with the Seattle Photo Book Club, and the event takes place during the Columbia City Art Walk, so there’ll be plenty of fresh and friendly faces. (“Seattle freeze” who??)

It’s a night you won’t want to miss!

Free entry, and free beer + wine if you’re a paid CHUM subscriber. (There’s an affordable donation-based bar too, don’t fret!)

RSVP here to get a reminder email before the event.

We’ll be out in the world this month at three other events, too:

  • Co-founder Meron Menghistab is speaking on a panel at the Seattle Public Library’s Douglass-Truth Branch (2300 E Yesler Wy), discussing the artistic and cultural contributions of Seattle’s East African diasporic communities. Thursday, Sept 10, 6:00 pm

  • CHUM is taking part in the festivities celebrating the Pratt Fine Arts Center’s 50-yr anniversary. We’ll be tabling, handing out some free zines, and perhaps peddling our snazzy merch. Location: 1902 S Main St. Saturday, September 12, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

  • In partnership with Seattle Arts & Lectures, we’ll be at renowned author George Saunders’s visit to Seattle on Monday, September 28 at 7:30 pm at Benaroya Hall. (Fun fact: Saunders is a mentor of Max Delsohn, author of the gorgeous Seattle-focused book CRAWL.) We’ll be tabling; come say hey!
